SphinxConnect 2023 Conference

I was asked by Afton Battle to take part in this session at Sphinx Organization’s SphinxConnect 2023. I was excited to share this wonderful conversation with two more amazing women, Taneshia Nash Laird and Nadege Souvenir, about advocating for yourself and your worth. The wage gap for people of color and women is real. It’s long past time to bring everyone to equity. Enjoy!

Evanston Skokie School District 65 Equity Day 2024

I spent this workshop in honest and transparent conversation with the teachers and staff at the Evanston Skokie School District. We shared plenty of great takeaways and discussions on equitable leadership transitions and mentoring teachers and staff, along with the state of equity, diversity, inclusion, and access nationwide and its effects on women and members of the global majority. I look forward to continued conversations.

If you are interested in this topic or something similar, feel free to reach out and let’s see what collaborations we can cook up!

ARTS ADMINISTRATORS OF COLOR NETWORK

ANNUAL CONVENING 2023

JR “Nexus” Russ asked me to take part in this thought-provoking and introspective panel discussion, which explores the profound influence of internalized white supremacy within marginalized communities. I was excited to share this wonderful conversation with two more amazing humans, Torie Wiggins and Joey Reyes. This session delved into the complexities of how communities of color can unwittingly internalize the culture and characteristics of white supremacy, all while sharing personal narratives that illuminate the insidious impact of proximity to power.
